I’m Stephen, a taper coach and nervous system support guide.
I help people reduce or come off psychiatric medications gently, safely, and with more emotional support than I ever had when I went through it myself.
I’m not a doctor. I’m not a therapist. I’m someone who’s lived this journey, and now I walk beside others through theirs.
For years, I trusted that my psychiatric medications were helping—but when I decided to taper, I learned how little real support existed. My nervous system collapsed. My life went sideways. I spent months piecing myself back together—slowly, painfully, and mostly alone.
Since then, I’ve done deep research, built tools, and supported others doing the same. What I’ve learned is that you cantaper—but not quickly, not carelessly, and definitely not without support.
I created The Gentle Exit because no one should have to navigate this process in the dark.
